Conversational English Courses

Course A - Basic Conversational English
Suitable if you can speak a little English, but wish to go back to basics. Six lessons in general conversational English for social, travel or work situations. The course will give you a good basis for speaking English confidently, and lots of tips on how to further improve your English.
Course B - Improve Your English
For participants who master basic English but wish to improve their conversational English for travel, social and work situations.
Six lessons including pronunciation, flow in conversation, improving vocabulary and getting your English to a higher level. We look at structure and participants are given lots of tips on interesting ways in which to improve their English, even after the course is over.
Course C - Advanced English Conversation
For participants who have a good standard of English but wish to refresh and improve their conversational English for travel, social or work situations.
Six lessons include perfecting pronunciation and syntax, expanding vocabulary and discussing current themes in the news. We will work on ways to maintain your standard of English and constantly improve using media such as YouTube.
Your course tutor is Gillian Gjelsvik, an Englishwoman who has lived in Nordhordland for almost 40 years. She has a university level education in Industrial Psychology and Counselling, has 30 years' experience of teaching English at all levels and has published "English for Legal Secretaries" (Nordli).
